Our Story Growing up on a dairy farm in the Mallee, my three brothers and I spent our childhoods chasing game. Back then, we relied on tossed leaves and milk thistle to check the wind direction and sneak up on our targets.
But when I started stalking deer in the early 2000s, I quickly realized leaves just weren’t cutting it. I needed something more precise. I tried using a lighter to check the breeze, but that was far too risky during the dry Australian summers. Out of necessity, I built my own wind-checking device.
For years, I used my homemade tool, and my hunting buddies were constantly amazed at how it helped me close in on my prey. After years of hearing, “You should sell that”, I finally listened. I’ve spent recent years experimenting with different bottles, powders, and scents to perfect the formula. Today, I’m proud to share Wind Checker—what I believe is the ultimate tool for tracking wind direction and putting you exactly where you need to be.
